Storystorm Day #19: Larry's Late Day

Today I was actually inspired by some play time I had with a second grader friend of mine the other evening, where we imagined a kid being late to all his classes because the fallout from being late to each class makes him late for the next one as well. I added to that a series of increasingly bizarre circumstances that make him late in the first place, and that saddle him with problems that go on to contribute serially to his bad day, and I had my story for the day.

Here's Larry showing up late for his first class:
He walked into his English class soaking wet, with a goldfish in his pocket and what was left of his backpack.
“You’re late!” his teacher exclaimed, and gave him a frowny face.
At the end of class, the teacher called for everybody’s homework, and of course, Lawrence didn’t have his. So the teacher gave him another frowny face, and a long lecture about responsibility.
Which of course made Lawrence late for his math class.
