PiBoIdMo Day #28: A 9/11 Hero

When I decided to try writing picture books, it didn't occur to me to try non-fiction, but prodded by Paula Yoo's PiBoIdMo post today, I made an attempt to tell the story of Mohammad Salman Hamdani, who was a Muslim 9/11 hero.

Here's an excerpt from the critical moment of the story:
Then he sees how big the fire is. The World Trade Center towers are burning. They are so big that if they collapse, no one within a mile will be safe. Everybody on the street is running away from the towers. Shouldn’t Sal run away, too?
